Capacity & Options
We have 2 buses: the Skoolie (16 guest max), and Semi Toasted (40 guest max, 35 preferred).
Semi Toasted is a shared tour (and we think it’s more fun that way!) It is open seating. Semi can be booked privately with a minimum of 20 on all days except Saturday so long as there are no existing reservations. Please note that on Saturdays we are typically fully booked and your group will likely need to share a table (our max capacity is based on 18” of seating width per guest). For a less crowded tour we would love to host you on Friday or Sunday. Please be friendly and courteous so nobody ends up standing. The Skoolie can accommodate fully private groups between 8-16 only.
The Skoolie is in the process of being updated and may or may not be available depending on dates. Inquire for details.

Wineries
We have agreements for custom accommodations at 8 handpicked wineries: Peltzer Winery, Doffo, Callaway, Lorenzi Estates, Vitagliano, Masia De La Vinya, Danza Del Sol, Leoness, and Somerset. The itinerary is determined based on availability, geography, date, and several other logistics factors. Over time we will rotate between these wineries.

Pricing
The tour rate is per seat (per person). There are no taxes or fees on the Semi. An 8% tax may be applied in some cases for sales tax and transportation taxes/fees specific to CA for the Skoolie. Each tour is scheduled for approximately 4 hours from pickup to drop off, but note this can extend up to 5 hours and often does. Each ticket includes 3 wine tasting tickets (or bottle service in some cases on private tours, depending on day/time and winery policy), optional charcuterie or sandwiches may be added. Pickup time is approximately 10:30AM at Vail Headquarters, in the rear of the property by Vail Pizzeria. Drop-off is approximately 2:30PM-3:00PM. For sunset tours, pickup is 3:30PM and drop off is approximately 7:30PM.

Reservations & Payments
We collect a small reservation deposit for each ticket on Semi Toasted, with the balance charged or due 72 hours before tour. For groups of 5 or more we will automatically send an invoice. For groups less than 5 we will charge the card on file for the balance the week of the. If you would like this option, please inquire through text or email. A $179 reservation deposit is required for the Skoolie, to be returned after the tour.

Pickup and Dropoff
By default, pickup is at Vail Headquarters, behind Vail Pizzeria (32115 Temecula Pkwy, Temecula, CA 92592). On busy days, we may pickup 10-20 meters east of Bareknuckle Brewing in the adjacent parking lot. We will still be visible from Bareknuckle Brewing
If you have a group and have booked the Skoolie, pickup within Temecula city limits (except for specific mountainous areas) is available. We can usually pick you up at your Airbnb, etc. but will need to verify each address.

Cancellations and No Shows
Customers can cancel for any reason for a full refund up until 1 week prior to service. Any cancellation after this point is considered a no-show and the customer may receive a credit (no expiration) redeemable at any time but will not be eligible for a refund.
-
Weather
We will cancel a tour for excessive rain. We will not cancel a tour for cold weather.
We recommend bringing a sweatshirt & a jacket BOTH on cold days. Layering heavily is more than enough to deal with “California cold”. Full refunds will be issued if we cancel due to weather.

Gratuity
We automatically pay gratuity at most wineries on our groups behalf . However, for bar tastings we may not cover gratuity since we do not know who will serve you at the counter and we ask you tip at your discretion. Usually your servers receive a bonus for bottle sales, so buying a bottle is another way to compensate your server.
If you have a private tour and an employee is driving/hosting we do guarantee gratuity in the amount of the reservation deposit. Please take care of them. For private groups we may apply the deposit towards the drivers gratuity if they receive none.
If I (Kevin) am driving I won’t decline a tip (I have secret tool fund Kayla doesn’t know about 😉) but this is not an expectation. We did our best to make this policy agreeable and fair and hope you feel the same!

Other
The stuff that isn’t fun.
We are strict about a couple of items. Nohardalcohol onboard. Full stop. This is an important safety measure. If the host feels they are unable to keep a guest safe we have to stop the tour to manage the issue. This ruins all the fun and we never want to do this. Please don’t make us.
No flashing. Ha!
The deck is not being used at this time.
We have a minimum of 10 guests to do a tour on the Semi. If you book during a weekday and we think we will not hit that minimum we will reach out to you a week in advance to advise.
We insist on generally safe behavior. No amount of fun is worth someone getting hurt. We have never had an issue and don’t intend to ever have an incident.
